Led by Artistic Director and professional actor Richard Mann, Riverside offer dedicated drama workshops to craft students acting ability. Workshops include; a warm up, games, concentration exercises, improvisation, text work, physical theatre, mask work and role play. Drawing on practitioners such as David Mamet, Keith Johnston, Peter Barkworth, Peter Brook and Augusto Boal.

There is no audition for the ‘Acting Workshop' but please note that places are strictly limited to 18 students and they have to be aged 13 plus.

Each year the workshop devise and rehearse sketches; for Riverside’s Christmas Cabaret, Student Showcase and Awards Evening. They also work on a production in the summer term. In July 2008 the workshop premiered The Enchanted Labyrinth at Bedfringe (Bedfordshire’s biggest comedy, music and theatre festival). Last year the workshop performed a treastle mask based play High Rising which was set to music. This year the workshop performed a production of Alice In Wonderland.

The Workshop will be working towards a performance for The Muppets Christmas Carol which will be performed on 5th December at the Football Club.
